Re: Understanding the question.

A teacher once gave a 25 question quiz that was supposed to be answered in three minutes. He cautioned all to spend time to read through before answering.

Due to fear of running out of time, the entire class embarked on the test without reading the instruction.

To the surprise of all students, question 25 read " Do not answer any of the above questions? Do I need to tell you that the entire class got an F ?

I had a very dear friend who was very intelligent. He was always at the top of the class in Maths, Chemistry, Physics,& Biology. But when it came to national examinations, he failed due to lack of reading instructions.

Passing any kind of exam depends largely on understanding the question.

A lot of us have made blunders in job interviews due to our failure to answer questions as asked. Many times we tell more than we have been asked.

On the same token, it will help eliminate too many unnecessary wars if we took time to read and understood an article before respondin to it. Don't you think so?
