Re: The many woes of a widow

When two individuals tie the knot,or decide to live together, they do so with hopes that they will live together for many years to come.

Unfortunately, it so happens that one passes on thus leaving the other one alone for who knows how long.

It goes without saying that one who has been left, needs all the comfort and the help he/she can find. But that is not always the case. And this is probably so to the many widows.

Below are some of the challenges that they face upon the death of their loved ones:

1. Some of the widows are kind of forced to re-marry someone against their wish. But the Bible sets either spouse free to marry one of their choice if one unfortunately dies.

2. You have read several cases whereby the deceased family members go to court in an attempt to get some of the property, if not all without any consideration of the widow and her children.

The word of God appeals to us to always remember the widows and orphans. We'll therefore do well to assist them carry on with their painful lives instead of adding insult to injury.

Anyway, have a caring and thoughtful day. Won't you?

Just a thought.
