Re: What are your plans? , Absalom Birai There is no question that most of us ,if not all of us are busy; so busy that we don't have time for even ourselves. But I am afraid that we have become so busy to an extend that we do not have time to reflect on very crucial issues. One such issue, in my opinion, regards our future plans. A clear and detailed understanding of our future plans will shape our daily goings.Come with me as we walk through the following un-forbidden areas so regarded as very personal. 1. The un-married ladies need to understand that there is a time when men think otherwise. Whatever plans you have, avoid rejecting every man that comes your way. Plan wisely lest you find yourself in a lonely world. 2. The un-married men need to do their math lest they are overwhelmed with the responsibility of college tuition at the time they are supposed to be enjoying their retirement. Remember that you can not wait for ever. While this is debatable, my appeal is to get yourself a wife while you are under 30 years. Once you cross 30 still single, people begin to raise so many questions that might be tough to handle. 3. If you plan to return to Africa, then get yourself a good education/certificate that can land you a good job. Lest you have forgotten, Africa is quite different from this country. 4.If you plan to go to college someday, you might as well do it now. To keep on postponing only makes it harder. There will be no time when you will have enough money for college. If you think that things like future plans are personal and should be left to individuals,it might be good to remember that poverty and daily challenges are very much personal and others will do everything possible to remind you so when you need them most. Just a thought. Pr Birai-612-386-4608 Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
