Dear Friend,
Saturday’s Walk for Change was a beautiful thing.
When I first started as a community organizer,
I was lucky if I got five people to show up in a basement with some folding
chairs.
On one day, you managed to:
- organize more than 1,000 events in all fifty
states
- get more than 10,000 volunteers to go door
to door in their neighborhoods; and
- introduce more than 500,000 people to our movement
for change
All of these personal stories and conversations
add up to more than a political campaign. Together we’re building a movement
to make politics mean something again and change this country.
Thank you for being a part of it.
