It’s bloodbath as police strike back at Mungiki - Is this genocide or law enforcement? Kenya is a republic that is supposed to be governed within the jurisdiction of the constitution. The same constitution, this incumbent president took an oath to protect. Which is more important, lives of kenyan citizens or power? President Kibaki has remained unresponsive to the plight of Kenyans in so many areas. All that this government talks about is 6.1 percent economic growth, which is not felt by actual kenyans. Why should Kibaki continue to be President of Kenya, when he cannot guarantee the security of this nation? Kenyans are being killed and police are taking law into their own hands by killing the Mungiki suspects as well. How are innocent kenyans going to be able to know who the real Mungiki killers are? Should the police shoot to kill or apprehend? I would like to see the media take charge in this case as they ought to have done and publish the names and tribal alliance of the said Mungiki sect members. I would like to know who comprises this sect and then we can move to the next question. Julius Okelo Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
