Scandal of Army vehicles diverted to Mungiki militia

Police have launched investigations into how 10 Army Land Rovers mysteriously disappeared from a barracks in the lead-up to the General Election. They fear a cartel of high-ranking officers secretly gave them to members of the outlawed Mungiki sect for subversive activities. The Land Rovers were painted grey, fitted with high-tech communications equipment and are now in the hands of a secret and dangerous militia which ferried Mungiki members to raids in support of one political party, Army sources suspect.
