KALONZO-RAILA 2007: A WINNING TICKET! Michoma Douglass Moenga said

On Michoma's proporsal, assertion, belief or suggestion, I am requesting that Raila and Kalonzo display their manhood for confirmition of their circumcision status just for election purposes. May be they can win or unwin the hearts of the likes of Michoma. This is how stupid this assertion is. No one among us can for sure confirm that Kalonzo or Raila is circumcised except their wives and may be their concubines if there are. If Michoma is sure that Raila is uncircumcised while Kalonzo is then we would like to know the source of his information. This would even make us question Michoma's manhood/womanhood because it is rare in Kenya for a man to investigate how the manhood of another man looks like.

Circumcision is no longer a right of passage but a scientific and medical concept. Some people have gotten circumcised at the age of 40 while some have wished they could have their foreskin re-attached. Some believe that circumcison limits bacterial infection while some believe that being uncircumcised provide natural flora that may be protective in away. Others believe it makes you be good in bed while others think otherwise. Well below is a few expert opininons

"The Hidden Trauma. “The average circumcision cuts off what would grow into about 12 square inches of sexually sensitive skin.” According to Canadian pathologist John Taylor, M.B., the foreskin is one of the key erogenous zones of the male body. Its 240 feet of nerves and 1,000 nerve endings are similar to those on the fingers and lips. “The fact is,” says Goldman, “when it comes to sex, circumcised men don’t know what they’re missing.”

But a few do. Increasingly, men who were circumcised as adults (for various medical reasons) are speaking out against circumcision, providing firsthand accounts of sex before and after.

“I had ample sexual experience, and I was quite happy as an intact male,” says Rick Thomas, who was circumcised on advice of his doctor at age 26. “After my circumcision, that pleasure was utterly gone. On a scale of 10, the uncircumcised penis experiences pleasure of at least 11 or 12; the circumcised penis is lucky to get to 3. If men who were circumcised at birth knew the loss of pleasure they would experience, they would storm the hospitals and not permit their sons to undergo this.”

Douglas MacArthur, a 55-year-old locksmith from Pennsylvania who was also circumcised as an adult, reports similar problems. “Sex before circumcision was like driving a luxury car with automatic transmission,” he explains. “I used to just glide along. Sex now is like driving a tiny, powerless compact with a manual transmission. It takes a lot of work to get anywhere. My penis has lost 90 percent of its sensitivity.

Kimberley Payne of the Riverside Professional Centre in Ottawa, Canada, and her colleagues tested the sensitivity of 20 intact and 20 circumcised men's penises as they watched erotic movie clips, by touching the penises with filaments that press down with predetermined amounts of pressure (The Journal of Sexual Medicine, DOI: 10.1111/j.1743-6109.2007.00471.x). They found no difference in penile sensation between circumcised and uncircumcised men.

However, when Robert Van Howe of Michigan State University used a similar method to measure sensitivity at 19 points along the penises of 163 men, he found that the five most sensitive points were all in portions of the penis removed by circumcision, especially those in folds exposed as the penis becomes erect (BJU International, vol 99, p 864).

I would like to believe that Michoma read these before presenting his facts to this diverse forum

I do believe the initial aim of circumcision was purely sexual. As you may realize, there was never a n African custom without some real good reason for whether justified or not. Like in some tribes, the women were not supposed to eat chicken at their in laws. This was a mans way of nyanyasaring women. Just like we used to believe that no one can fly but God and the birds, the idea that a man can only lead others if he is circumcised is pure ignorance. I hope Michoma will take time to educate his people and the rest of Kenya.
