THE MAYHEM THAT GRIPPED OYUGIS TOWN .

As we the constituents of Kasipul-Kabondo know that the elections are just under 26 weeks left before a new Mp takes office, Oyugis, the main town of the constituency has been rocked by bloodshed fights. This incident is quite unfortunate and immediate action to be taken on the people involved. The town is always peaceful but approaching elections some evil deeds come in, Why? Dirty politics, seemingly there are politicians who are fuelling the mayhem but endanger the innocent residents life, This vice should be condemned and immediate investigation should be done so that the culprits face the law without fear or favor.

I urge the constituents to be very wary of these politicians who fuel this wars at their expenses. I request the law making body in conjunction with the Electoral Commission of Kenya to put a law that prohibits any person with a criminal records whether minor or major from occupying any public office.

The Oyugis town council should be held solely responsible for the bloodbath, and the people involved should be punished accordingly. I also recommend a complete overhaul of the council.

I am very much in sorrow over the mayhem that occurred on 07.06.2007 in Oyugis Town, At the same time I condole the bereaved families. Lets all preach peace and unity amongst us but not hatred.
