Re: Angry people here, there & everywhere! For some reason, my mind keeps on going back to the story of Moses, the meekest man ever lived. As per the Bible, God called Moses to lead the children of Israel from Egypt, the land of slavery, to Canaan, the promised land, flowing with milk and honey. The journey that was supposed to have taken them one week, took them 40 years. And of those who left Egypt, 600,000 men, besides women and children, only two (Joshua & Caleb) made it to the promised land. God have mercy. Although these people had witnessed so many miracles, when faced with even a little problem, they bitterly complained, whined, condemned, blamed and were so angry with God and Moses. They not only put God to test many times, but also wanted to chose a king of their own and return to Egypt where they ate meat, cucumbers, and what have you. Well, what can we say? Has anything changed? I am afraid that many years later, there are still angry people everywhere. Included in the many jobs that I have done, is working as a cashier, security officer, and a telephone operator. In these jobs, I have come across people who easily get angry for no apparent reason? Is it just me or you have also come a cross some? Check the following. 1.Have come across people who become really angry for being asked for ID/Dl. 2.Some drivers become real angry because others are driving at the posted speed. 3. You can add the list. The good Lord expects us to be peaceful and gentle. Let us appreciate the many blessings that the good Lord has bestowed upon us and stop being angry with God and every one else. Can we? Just a thought.
