The RAILA Hummer-Slogan???

Folks,

The use of Hummer on Raila's campaign should NOT be debated that long. Hummers are now shipped in Kenya and why should we concentrate our minds on that of Raila.... We have had enough about this hummer. Migosi Mireri, I know you feel very uncomfortable when simple debates such as the negetive look that people give Raila's Hummer is making the order of the day.....the same is applicable to me and the best medicine prescription is asumption of such-like article for a full doze. Logically, a contender has to use certain means of transport and I know if there would be provision of waterway everywhere in Kenya then Raila would have used a boat/canoe and still that would spark news. Indeed if I may get back to my previous posting on Africa-oped and Mwananchi forums, the issue of hummer was clossed and here below is the article dated March 24/07. Let us face realities and challenges facing ODM-K not the how the transport was facilitated end of story.

Why do we get things out of our hands? If Raila did buy and drove to parliament with a tractor ("Tinga-tinga), would that build him a good relations among his constituents who are residing in the kibera slums or the public at large? How about him (Raila) ridding in a Bus to parliament, could that be advantage to the Kibera dwellers given the fact that the capacity of a bus would offer a number free ride? The other part is the fact that luos are purpotedly known to be "huge spenders", is that a drawback to Raila's presidential bid. And lastly, given the fact that Raila has been travelling to USA, Canada and UK raising funds for ODM-K how does that affect his PR while the funds so raised are those intended for the support of ODM-K as a party. Let us be real on matters which do degrade indivials status. To my best understanding, Railas invitation to UK, USA and Canada were organised by the very stakeholders of ODM-K. With the figures that are quoted by KTN of the very Hummer, it has been realized that Benz, Rovers and BMW's are more expensive than a Hummer.Sorry if the Hummer could negatively affect Railas presidential focus, then we should advise him to to ride in a 60 seater bus that will accomodate his voters instead a 5-seater Hummer....Na hiyo ni maendeleo............
