Tribalism as a sense of identity, can clearly play a strong role in motivation for aggressive behavior against others who do not belong to the tribe or in a country like ours can be the basis of discrimination against others purely on the basis of they not belonging to the other tribe. I believe this aspect of tribalism is what most of us are afraid of.
