HUMMER or HAMMER (NYUNDO)? Bwana Abonyo, I thought your complaint could have been that a HUMMER is not NYUNDO (HAMMER). As to whether Hon. Odinga needs one HUMMER for campaigns or not is for him to decide. I guess he needs one; what with the rough Nairobi Roads? Can he afford one? I believe so. Raila is not a poor man, just as Karl Max, or Mao was not poor; just as Ngugi Wathion'go is not poor; yet all these people spoke for the poor. Politicians are not in politics because they are poor. They should be in politics because of what they believe a just prosperous society should be. As to whether the Luo and other Raila surpporters should be humble and listen to Hon Kalonzo or not, that is for them to choose. First, Street Politics is not a gentleman's sport. Secondly, these people know that Hon. Kalonzo is the "consensous man;he doesn't need their votes. Is he not part of the group that told Hon. Odinga that he is unelectable because he is a Luo? Can't you see Hon Odinga has lost Hon. Kalonzo's vote. I doubt if he has lost his Kamba admirers because of Kalonzo. Politics is about power and the display of the same; it is about public perception (In Mobasa Agwambo's shirt was more orange and larger than Kalonzo's): Hon. Kalonzo will be heckled in Machakos, Kisumu, Mombasa, Kamkunji and any other public arena. That is what happens to "holier-than-though" boadroom politicians of Hon. Kalonzo's type. Finally, I hate to be told that I am a Luo and must "lie flat like an envelope" (Do you remember who said that not so long ago?) even as people spit on me, simply because the Luos are looking for a President. In ODM-K (I believe it is dead) the gloves are off from now on; it is campaign mode, it must be for Hon. Odinga who does not have the luxury of incumbency, and has been labeled unelectable. I am happy that he is all the way. Now, that HUMMER: The HUMMER is a political shadow---a mirage. It is not Hon. Odinga. Don't chase it.
