Politics in Kenya My Fellow Kenyans, Politics is a game of wits and double talk. The only time politicians speak the truth is when they call each other liars. I am a Kenya 100% my family is comprised of most large tribes, Kikuyus', Luo's and Luhya's. The funny thing with Kenyans they will always complain when things do not go their way. Kibaki has done well with the country the economy is taking off and we are realizing growth like most middle income countries. Moi was a good president but he had bad advisors thus the negative growth rate that the country experienced under his leadership. What do we know about Agwambo? What kind of president would he be? What track record does he have? Kalonzo the same? Mudavadi the same? We will never know? Kenyans believe that each tribe needs a chance at leadership in the country and the truth of the matter is at the end of the day......that leader will not just represent that tribe but the whole nation. In the developed nations, policy makers are influenced by big business. The ruling class is the rich, wealthy and powerful. The rich make money from business, the business here people and the people are employed, the consume goods which drive the economy. Regardless of who takes over the government, Big business will change alliances and they will still have their way. If you attack big business, they will take their business elsewhere. So far, big business is coming to Kenya, General Electric is investing the single largest in invest into East, Central and Southern Africa in Kenya. The Libyans are coming, The Chinese already there, the Europeans are coming back. Our government has proved to the west that we do not need them anymore we can do it by ourselves. Today, I am more proud to be Kenyan than ever before. Ask yourselves, if you are on a bus on the way to Mombasa and everybody on the bus is a qualified driver. You are making good time and you are riding comfortable? Why bother to interfere with what is not broken? If Kibaki was a luo and he was doing a good job I would vote for him each and everytime. If Raila was a Kikuyu with a track record of attempting a coup I would not vote for him. Raila was fired from Ministry of Public Works for lack of performance not because he was sidelined. Raila is a politician he will tell you anything to get to State House. Jesus said 'let he with no sin throw the first stone!' My friend Raila, start flinging stones. Kibaki, get a hold of those little Mt.Kenya mafia dudes running around. I know them. I call them Uncle and Some Baba so and so. I am a fan.....do not let me and my fellow Kenyans down. -- From the Desk of: Joseph S. Waruimbo Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
