Instead of saying that he can be compared with Jesus, Raila should have just told us that he is a honest man. Why make himself a saint that he is not?

Raila's campaign is anchored on Raila's honesty vs Kibaki's dishonesty . He has spent 4 years ranting about Kibaki not honoring the MoU. He has gone as far as swearing in a church that Kibaki made some promises and dared Kibaki to do the same. A man who goes as far as doing that has to be more honest than the one he is accusing but that is not the case.

Remember Raila's MoU with Nyachae? What did Raila do with it? He rubbished it and ran to Uhuru Park to declare Kibaki Tosha believing that Kibaki was to make him an executive PM (a non-existent seat). Why does Raila think that he should be given special treatment?

Raila should not play victim when he is served a dose of his own medicine. He is found of accusing others of the same crimes that he commits. Raila is on record calling Kikuyus ADUI yet when people say he is not fit to be president he accuses them of being against Luos. One may think that being anti-Raila is equal to being Anti-Luo.

Raila's campaign team is stirring anti-Kikuyu sentiments by attributing all wrongs of the Kibaki administration on Kikuyus. We have seen them selectively publish lists of people with Kikuyu-sounding names then accusing kikuyus of taking up 90% of civil service jobs. They revisited the Kenyatta administration and produced selective list of people killed in that era and blamed the deaths on Kikuyus.

The Mungiki organized crime gang has been presented as a Kikuyu outfit that is out to finish other Kenyans. The fact that Mungiki has killed more Kikuyus than any other Kenyan community is not enough to qualify it as an organized crime ring; to them it is a Kikuyu outfit. The kind of propaganda being planted by the Raila team is similar to what we saw in Rwanda where the genocide media accused Tutsis of being accomplices of the RPF rebel movement. It then called for total elimination of Tutsis.

Raila's holier-than-thou campaign platform will not work. It is time he came down from heaven and accepts that he is a feeble human being. He should then sell his policy instead of tribal politics. He should dump the MoU line lest we ask him what he did with the MoU he signed with Nyachae.
