I have had the opportunity to eat rats, and the honest truth is they are very tasty when roasted.

I think one of the main causes of hunger in Africa is that most African people are unwilling to try foods that they did not inherit from their fore-parents. This is a shame, because Africa is endowed with many nutritious food species that people will just never touch. Yet, a lot of diseases in Africa are caused by hunger and/or lack of nutrition. Imagine how independent we would become food wise if our people became open to trying other meat species besides the usual domesticated cattle.

Please try rats some day if the opportunity avails itself. If you like chicken, you will love them.
