To be or not to be; Can a luo be a Kenyan president?

To all Luos, that this my small computer has registered their e-mail address.

I have read all what you have put forward through the e-mail with great respect and a lot of interest. Infact some of us has lost the direction a long the way. I do think that the conversation has gone so deep that some are now running out of ideas. I have seen the pattern of lives of succeeding generations of luos and why we do need something different from the past 40 years of Kenyan independence time . Majority of luos now at home are not doing well, infact most of luos are living now worse than pre Kenyan independence. Some are working today in inhuman conditions. They are being constantly exploited by the regime and there are also some luos who are taking that advantage and are just increasing their peoples direct or indirect enslavement deeper and deeper. We have to wake them up also.

The most important question we luos should ask and learn this year especially after general election is this: CAN A LUO BE A KENYAN PRESIDENT?. IF NOT WHAT SHOULD WE LUOS DO ABOUT IT?. AND IF WE LUOS ARE VOTING AS A BLOCK FOR SOMEBODY WHO IS NOT RAILA WHAT ARE WE GETTING FROM IT?. IT IS NOT JUST A MATTER OF CHANGING A DICTATOR WITH ANOTHER DICTATOR ANYMORE. I do think that, these are very important questions and and good too. We have to define our future in Kenyan politics, people are tired of being treated like second class citizens.

After all the genital mutilation being practiced in Kenya which the bantus always speaks luodly about has been burned by medical community as unhealthy and not ethical and medicaly primitive. In european countries it is even unlawful. Can any of you tell me that europeans who are not practicing circumcision are less developed than kenyans?. Why is our circumcised presidents always begging europeans for help or money everytime if their are so perfect leaders?.Why are they jumping to europe any time they are sick to be treated in Europe if circumcised people were all that perfect in Kenya?.

It is a mistake to compare Raila with Jesus, but if Jesus was alive today I do not think that he will be travelling on a donkey. Can anybody tell me any donkey which can travel from Kisumu to North Eastern kenya in a a day?. If you know that donkey please tell Raila, I think he will buy it the next day. Donkeys were means of communication during Jesus time. If jesus was travelling on a donkey today I strongly do think that they would not crucify him, but instead just shoot him when he is on top of the donkey straight away. And after that prophets would sit down to re write the bible in a completely different way. I mean by deleting all the parts written crucifixion and replacing them by the word shot. All those presidential contenders have their positive and negative sides. Kenyans should just look at the one with less mistakes and elect the best person out of them. And all of us knows now who among them has less negative side effects especially to us luos?.

How many years did Kenyatta rule kenya or how many years did Moi rule Kenya?, How many tax payers money did they spend on bullet proof cars during that time?. Or this present Kibaki how much of tax payers money is he spending on pleasing his tribes men in the state house everyday or bullet proof cars or scandals etc?. Well he is still a president and might be elected again.

Are we looking for a virgin to be the next president? or we are looking for somebody with credentials and less corruption scandals?. Of course Raila is not Jesus and he will never be, each and every one of us has individual identity and personality, you can not be someone else at the same time you retain your identity, unless you have a multiple personality disorder. But you know that people with multiple personality disordes belong to the mental hospitals not outside.

I do think we do have a lot to learn we luos, especially after this years election. Those with brains will eventually wake up after that and the ones who are still sleeping will be wakenup.
