Re: Mbita High School Alumnis on the Ground & in the Diaspora!/ Fresh Air! Wananchi, Just a few weeks ago I was trying to unfold some of the many problems associated with primary school education in Gusiiland and stretched that to the Lake Region. All of a sudden hell broke lose "mwanyagetinge" forum I took a sabbatical leave of absence for a week. Verbal abuses and the usage of fake names, village gossip,name-calling, and such send me to my small round hut. Now I'm ready to bounce back and try ignite smiles on the faces and hearts of my People in the Dispora and on the Ground! I value peace, respect, friendliness, love, and progress! Yes, let us share some love after Church today! Most people ask themselves where is this Mbita High School that has produced a few visible wananchi in the Diaspora. Mbita High School: 1 km or so away from ICIPE Research Station,Mbita Point 50 Kilometres away deep inside from Homa Bay a neighbour to Rusinga Island adjoining Mfangano Islands We are talking about the Hills of Homa, Migingo, and Kakisingiri Valleys in South Nyanza... A relatively small school that is a strong force in music festivals, sporting activities, and academic performance in the country. The school is located very close to the shores of Lake Victoria and during my time we used to go take a quick swim lunch time as we waited for lunch. The menu was always nyoyo, sometimes ugali with sukuma and shadows of meat. But most students ran illegally to Mbita Point after school to buy "mbuta" and other dry fish that was very tasty and delicious. Swimming at the lake: It was such a beautiful scene and daily routine experiences since you swim not far away from women enjoying the lake with tremendous swimming styles only found that part of the country. I always felt when I grow up my wife must be Luo however high the dowry maybe! Nitalipa! Luo women are ranked number one in the country! I don't care about those wakambas, wataita,Kereris, Nyabururus, and Sirongas, etc. Good Lord Lake Sango produces the best in the country, period! I have all my research papers on my desk as we speak... Only Lumumba Okeyo, Mzee Joseph Kuria Mwangi, Dr Sam Oyugi, Robert Omuya, Professor Maurice Amutabi, me, and Mbita alumnis know this riddle and the secrets behind this cry from the son of the soil from the Hills of Gusii! If you have a great good sense of humour the daughters of the Lake will discover you quickly! Gusii we are still arguing on who has done what in the village. Shame on me! I nolonger care if the entire Gusii ladies don't dare look at my resume the ancestors of Lake Victoria will not let me down. I'm a full-time member of Jaluo.com Today I'm in good spirits! Please stay with me as we walk through the Hills and great Valleys of South Nyanza. Esabato! Ladies & Gentlemen, let me walk you through the tunnels to Mbita Point. I was very young when I completed form four from Kericho High School. The Good Lord led me to Mbita High School in the old education system. When I received the official acceptance letter the whole village was thrilled, overjoyed, and my Dad was quick to buy me a nice suitcase for the first time ever. I used to have those farasi looking wooden boxes until I qualified for the better stuff. Stay right there I will be right back with more! Please don't go away!
