Re: DO RAILA SUPPORTERS KNOW THAT HUMMER / NYUNDO SLOGAN IS A BAD CAMPAIGN TOOL? From: jngoje Mr.Obonyo, you have articulated some good points about the generalization of the Luos and scaring away the voters from other tribes, but it is also hard to know whether the hecklers were Raila supporters, Ruto,s , Mudavadi's, Nyagas etc. To make it worse, even at the traditional curios market populated by Kambas curving wood in Mombasa, Kalonzo was heckled. It is ill conceived to blame Raila handlers to have brought the hecklers. Whoever went to listen to the presidental aspirants, went there voluntarily, and there was no mark written on their faces that they were hecklers or Raila supporters. Were they only Luos shouting Kalonzo down? After all, how many Luos live in Mombasa compared to the othe ethnic groups? Mudavadi, Nyaga, Ruto, Balala and Ojiambo spoke after Kalonzo and Nobody heckled them. Last but not least, whatever Raila drives has no bearing with poverty in Kenya, Kibera or Luoland. After all, the Hummer he drives was donated as a gift by a Kisii brother living in Chicago.Did you want him to dictate what kind of Vihacle he should be given? Kenya is no longer Germany during Matternich, where nobody could sneeze because Matternich will know, nor France controlled by Jacobins during the reign of Luis the VII. Raila could not seal peoples mouths not to shout, that does not mean I agreed with what they did, but who knows who they were! Maybe you do as ascribed on your e-mail, but you may lay blame to the wrong person. The people exhibited their democratic rights to show displeasure with Kalonzo,s stand and shifting the goal post every time his demand is met. His popularity is waning and Raila should not be blamed on that. Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
