Please, give us a break. I do not understand why you people take yourselves so seriously over issues that you do not understand. Raila supporters have the right to express themselves politically and do not need high nosed elites like you to chew everything for them to swallow.

First and foremost, you have no clue whether these people were drunk or not. My problem with socialist/ liberal elites like you is that you think you own the poor and that somehow the poor have no right to express themselves without your approval or direction. The Hummer, to Raila supporters who call him Nyundo has nothing to do with a class warfare , poverty and all those socialist/Marxist/Leninist attributes that you are trying to force feed us. These are Raila supporters who dared to express themselves in a country where the voters are expected only to express themselves once every five years when they vote otherwise they are supposed attend mammoth rallies and say nothing.

Hummer or Nyundo as used in this context is just a pet name for Raila, like Tinga, Agwambo, Owad ga Akinyi. I find your analysis and characterization of Raila supporters as sycophants to be insulting, demeaning, condescending and above all patronizing.

These ODMK politicians have been addressing mammoth rallies for almost three years now and wanaichi have been very tolerant listening to them and it is about time these rallies became interactive rather than the masses be relegated to captive audience. The right of voters to express themselves so long as they do not break any laws must be respected and not censored by elites like you who for some strange reason think they are smarter than the people and are somehow qualified to lecture them on how to support a candidate of their choice. I feel very insulted by your unsolicited diatribe against peaceful Raila supporters whose right to express themselves must also be respected.
