Interesting question you raise up there - as to whether Dominion is spying on Luo people in the Diaspora - and of course they wont answer that!

But, look at it this way: if you were Dominion, and you had set your mind (and business strategy) on nyakuaring the entire land resource in Luoland for a song and with least esistence .... and your only obstacle is likely to be the Luo Global Diaspora, wouldn't it make business sense to want or even plan to eliminate your biggest obstacle in this regard?

Dominion is not in Luoland because they are a friend of the Luos, but they are in Luoland to exploit land and associated environmental resources that they would never get hold of anywhere else. They will achieve their aim at least cost, with least resistance, and with maximum profit unto themselves since it is not their duty to guard the Luo interest, welfare and causes. That very objective once delivered colonialists in Africa, and they came the way Dominion has come. The pain of the consequences that followed is history!

Indeed, as a private, profit-maximising, business venture, Dominion's only duty is unto themselves, and that due is to grow the balance-sheet of their company, enriching their shareholders year-on-year. If that objective has to be achieved at the least cost to themselves, even if with raw blood of the Luo Nation, why should Dominion give a damn? Let us forget this nonsense about other people giving a dam about our people, for that is our duty alone, a duty that we could and should never ever even think of delegating to anyone!

Let everyone listen to their GUTS: one day, the very same Dominion will be guarding their so-called lands in Luoland with foreign troops, like other American businesses do in mineral and oilfields across Africa, with 'tresspassing Luos' killed on sight by machine gun fire! Dominion will occupy their lands with the full backing of seveal generations of anti-Luo Kenyan presidents, who will be shareholders of Dominion in Kenya, and there will be total misery in Luoland, total yuaguok gi muodo lak, and all feeble protests then will be in vain.

And people reading this email today will bow their heads in total shame, guilt and embarassment for not taking action in time to fend off the hydra when you still had the time!

Of course, in every human struggle there are what Kukuyus used to call 'HomeGuards', 'Collaborators', 'Traitors', or betrayers of the People's Cause:
... evn the clamour for Kenya's Independence saw the likes of Daniel Moi and his KADU Party siding with the colonialists, protesting that Kenya didn't NEED Independence. In our midst today we have the likes of Okoth Otura, Joseph Okumu, and their many associates who, for only three shekels of silver are ready to serve alien causes and betray the permanent cause of Luoland, shackled as they are to alien business interests that can only strangle and drain blood out of the lifeless carcass of Luoland!

Dominion is a cancer to be controlled now, as it can only be detrimental to Luoland. Its focus on the Luo Diaspora is to stem expected resistance, and it is only a matter of time before it aopts new strategy: Sell shares to Kibaki and the MKM, bring Majoni to beat up protesting Luos silly, and settle down to sucking blood out of Luoland and its peoples!

Does anyone of you remember the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA: http://www.regional-dev.go.ke/lbda/)? What was it established to do? And why can't Luoland develop the so-called FARMS under the auspices of LBDA, an accountable national and local state agency established for the very same purposes under the Ministry of Regional Development (http://www.regional-dev.go.ke/index.htm)? What became of IRRIGATION SCHEMES in Luoland? They still are in places like Mwea, producing rice for the market, UNDER TARDA (Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority: http://www.regional-dev.go.ke/tarda/index.htm).

Besides, the global Luo Diaspora can work with local communities to facilitate similar, but community-owned and community controlled ventures and land-based investment programmes that have local Luo communities on the drving seat (via local land development cooperatives specially set up for that purpose by each community in its own locality) without necessarily allowing alien and unaccountable private business interess to turn into a blood-sucking HYDRA in Luoland under our very own watch!

Of course their prefects are paid to do a job ('self-interest '), and for their livelihoods ('three shekels of silver') they will not give a damn about 'community interest'! Why would they?

Hence Dominion spying on Luo global Diaspora does make business and strategic sense .... Surely, in their shoes and knowing why they are there, wouldn't YOU?
