Re: 3 types of people On my way to work this morning, I saw a bumber sticker with these words "There are 3 types of people, namely, those who serve, those who want to serve, and those who are scared." The bumber sticker was an attempt to encourage men and women to join the Army. A well thought concept, or so I thought. As a soldier in the Lord's army, I found myself thinking that there are three types of people, when it comes to the things of God: 1.Those who have joined the Lord's army and are actively involved in growing the kingdom of God despite their many daily challenges. 2.Those who have always come up with all kinds of excuses for not being part of the army yet. As soon as one excuse is over, they are ready with another one. 3.Those who regard growing God's kingdom as a waste of time. They are very busy making money and saving for tomorrow. As I was wrestling with the issue of which category I belong to, the following song that goes way back to the days of high school came into mind. Excuse my kiswahili spellings: Namtania Yesu Mwokozi, nafanya dhambi ninavyopenda(I take Jesus Christ for granted, committing sin as I wish.) Wanahubiri watu wa Mungu, lakini mini ninajitenga, Najitanganya na ulimwengu, ambao kesho nitauwacha(While God's people are busy preaching, I have opted to separate myself. I have been deceived by this world which by no means will not be there tomorrow. My desire is to be actively involved in the business of our and Savior Jesus Christ. How about you? Just wondering.
