Re: Assassination Attempt On Civil Society Leaders Nascon Co-ordinator nascon_05@ . . . wrote: Odhiambo I chose not to write to all the people and personally address you as a person. I am thankful for your message of solidarity that you have shared with our colleague in the first case. But i do not agree with you on whether the demo was neccesary or not. It does not matter how many people get involved in a demo and who organises it. We are talking about issues. I do not think you are an ardent supporter of the perks rise for MP's. If you are, then i am addressing the wrong person but if not then you should read more than what you are saying. Had it not been that the skirmish and a whole issue about condemning the act came about, this people could have gone ahead to pass it. Anyway still they have a chance but Kenyans have the story right. Secondly the ruling by Justice Mutungi is one of the kind for Kenya in many years. He clearly gave a justification of a demo in its strongest expression ever and we should thank our colleagues. If its a question of not being mobilised to take part, that is for another day.
