Email: jeffotieno@yahoo.com Mobile No. 0720 616 018 KISUMU BUSINESSMAN IN GUN DRAMA BY: JEFF OTIENO Panic, confusion and Pandemonium recently gripped a Kisumu Restaurant when a notorious arrogant businessman, Philip Babu Akoth went berserk and removed his pistol to shoot a son of a Muhoroni business tycoon, Paul Isaac Odero. Babu, who is a licensed gun holder has been tormenting his perceived enemies in the Lake side City, but this time around he wasn’t that lucky. It all started when he came and found the young boy with a Kisii lady who he appeared to have had interest in. Instead of devising shrewd mechanism to hook the lady, he opted to slander the boy on the hope that the lady could succumb. Stung, the young stout boy pounced on him with kicks and blows and interestingly, some revelers who had previously been victims joined the fray. Local O.C.S Mr Wanyama, who was around the precincts intervened, and arrested the gun wilding businessman. Clients who were gripped with panic, escaped with bills to evade the chaotic scenario. He was nabbed by the police where he spent two days in cells and was later charged. Sources in the police fraternity have confirmed that the chief licensing officer has officially cancelled the businessman’s license. The businessman, who is deeply involved in transport and butchery businesses has been harassing people in the lake side City, particularly in leading restaurants, where jostling for women is the hall mark of his operations. For starters, he is always glued in green Toyota Prado, and a sleek white Mercedez Benz x series and boasts of police connections as a mechanism of perpetuating his cheap sinister errands in the City and its fraternity.
