Re: MPS SHOULD EARN TEN TIMES THE SALARY OF THE LOWEST EARNING CIVIL SERVANT

Orina Nyamwamu.

Thank you Sir. These guys are so confused and really dont wanna identify with the rule of law, transparency and accountability that hold the representatives of the people accountable to the people.

So, the question is; Are we managing our problems or our problems managing us?

It is no longer news that Kenya Project has failed yet another big test. This is a sick country under a sick system of governance, managed by sick guys. This is a country lacking in quality leadership and progressive visions. In addition, the low standard of living and the desperate means of survival in Kenya reveals much about the inefficiency of the Kenya project. Kenya is yet to identify itself, have you seen a country where its illegal to have the flag in ua backyard???.

Put simply, Kenya is yet to seek the strengths in her diversities as a unified nation. What has been lacking over the decades especially after independence is proper planning and selfless service. Greed and corruption had eaten deep into the system that it became difficult to see the beauty and glory of this country and the heights that it could have attained if the proper brains had been in power. Over the years, we have seen what governance means to some people. We have seen how complete nonentities running shameless shows and recycling themselves in a cycle of idiocy. What we have also failed to point out over the years is that we have a government that is actually not closer to the people. A police government ca not do anything in the new Know How world. Why can't our Mps contribute in this forum???? We are in a 21st century world with flat widesceens monitors not ''chapreta'' or typewriters. This is time for a truly participatory government that actively seeks peoples opinion on important governanace matters.

Nyikwa ramogi, too many people have written and spoken about MPs way of handling themselves, CDF, Koinange street, bribe to vote in crucial national matters, lack of contituency dev' agenda/strategic plan etc. in vain. Has anything been done about it? In contrast, look at Tuju-the guy is smart, doing everything he can to genuinely uplift his people, paying school fees for over 40 youngstars, airlifting bright brains to get education, building homes for homeless widows etc. Let me leave this for another day.

Many people have spoken against the corrupt nature of our MPS but I blame the system for not putting in place proper rules to deal with money and easy highstyle lifestyles that goes with being a Kenyan MP....... ''Apisi, 3 Mobiles, V6/V12 TDI/HDI---Vrooooom, a Gang of Weightlifters''....a very primitive version of leadership.

The Big Mac question is; Where do we go from here? elect MPs with some degree of exposure (Tuju is a good example) We need guys who can link well with the International community, guys with some international knowledge and systems. I mean women and men with first world work ethics!!!
