Re: NCEC:THE KARATINA HARASSMENT OF RAILA AND OTHER POLITICAL LEADERS George, I am not a tribalist. If I were one, I would not dare contest in a cosmopolitan area. Secondly, all my articles are focusing on the Kenyan problem. You must never pretend that we have no problem. What is wrong if I identify the problem and point an accusing finger at the source of the problem. Young people have all along wanted to take over leadership, and in this age, to take on the old guards, we must identify the problem, and solve it. In solving the problem, we must never sit on the fence, we must identify with the kind of leadership that we want. If you are comfortable with tribalism, corruption and impunity, just vote back your Kibaki. But if you are a true Kenyan suffering the consequences of tribalism, corruption and impunity, then you vote Raila. But by pretending that you do not want to address these issues, is fence sitting. The youth of this country must wake up and take part in active politics. And in politics, you must take sides, you do not blow cold and hot at the same time. I hence have no apologies in wanting one Kenya for all Kenyans, devoid of tribalism, corruption and impunity. Odhiambo T Oketch Komarock Nairobi Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
