Kalonzo should not be accepted back in the ODM fold From: Peter Otieno I have heard and read about recent efforts by a few MPs from both ODM and ODMK to unite the two camps and possibly bring back Hon Kalonzo to the ODM fold. I have my fears about this move, and my take is that allowing Kalonzo back may revive the incessant wrangles that faced ODMK. For one, Kalonzo has given very tough conditions indeed, i.e. that his presidential bid is not negotiable, and that he has to be on the ballot. These are unlikely to be met. He has also shown that he is not his own man. Seems like he was being used by and the powers that be to wreck ODM K. If he comes back with these characteristics, perhaps more chummed and more invigorated, may be a little wiser, then he can cause damage to ODM. It is possible to share the Akamba votes, even if we end up getting only 300 000, without involving Kalonzo. There are many Akambas out there who do not necessarily like how Kalonzo has been conducting his political affairs. Mutula Kilonzo, who now purpots to be an arbiter, was actually the one who misled Kalonzo by his tribal remarks against Raila at a Machakos rally. WHO SHARES MY FEARS?
