JaluodotKom is for Non-Luos, too From: Ajaramogi Ja Ndiko, we appreciate your concerns. But jaluodotkom sani otin'go kata jo mwa who are the strongest defenders of Ker. The other reality is that there are young Luos (the majority) who can only ask for water in Luo; ok ginyal sero wuowi kata nyako gi Dho Luo. To bende, ka en od pakruok; en od yalo; en od siasa; en od oala; en od aole; ochalo od muok; otin'go ogwenge mopogore opogore (whose line is that?). That is what makes it a blog. Rombo, I understand your concerns, and you are not alone. Som barup Anna Sidigu; som Barup Boaz; som barup Leo Odera. They share your concern; I do share your concern. But unfortunately, a Luo cannot be changed into what he or she is not: Aluo is a nosiy, sometimes, stone-throwing (when too happy) human; but at the end of the day, a decent, loving, clean human, a good civil servant with a steal-no-chicken attitude. A Luo is a happy-go-lucky, harmless human, who will throw stones at you over a referee infringement in the football stadium, then share his roast spareribs and Tusker (I hope Matiba still brews this drink) with you at Burma, or South B market. Breath easy, my firend, most bloggers don't vote; and most Kenyan voters don't blog. Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
