Government Protection Of Presidential Candidates Is A Right, Noble & A Fair Gesture. Dear Kenyans I am truely proud of the rate of advancement Kenya as a nation has made in terms of political tolerance. The freedoms (of expression, political association, movement, etc) currently being enjoyed demonstrate Kenya is way ahead of her neighbours and a shinning star in Africa. It is commonly known that Nyerere ended tribalism in Tanzania, yet many Tanzanians really admire us for the freedoms we have achieved to date. Kenya can do even better and is poised to end this social injustice called tribalism what with the current trends in both government and opposition allignment, which must be continued beyond electioneering period. This progress is despite Uhuru's surrender as the opposition leader and jumping on Kibaki's bandwagon in an attempt to keep the presidency in the house of Mumbi and Kalonzo's solo tribal effort. Kenya can go a mile further in the direction of first world nations. It is time for our taxpayers money to be spent on protecting all the potential presidential candidates. Yes, now more than ever before, Kibaki government must provide them secret service protection to demonstrate good will and for the sake of national security. Our nation has now identified the top three leaders. It must not only protect them, but all events they or their proxies are involved in. A nation whose leaders are well protected is one that avoids a power vacuum and the dangers inherent therein. It is a nation that "cannot walk with a limp even when there is a lame-duck president or parliament." -- --
