KCA PRESS RELEASE ON WAY FORWARD FOR A CLEAN AND JUST COUNTRY

*The recent pay hikes for the MPs by Kibaki's government must have been payoffs to these "good for nothing" elected members of Parliament for their silence on the issues affecting the communities they represent. They have also been provided with tons of campaign money to turn young unemployed youths in to intimidating thugs against opposing candidates in their respective constituencies. The youths they are employing are the same young people whose future have been virtually destroyed by these same MPs inability to address those issues affecting youth. To these shameless, self centered and greedy MPs, the unemployed young people have become tools for holding on to power at all costs. They represent no one except themselves and few friends.*

* * *These same MPS are now engaged in bending the constitution in order to sabotage the investigation of corruption which has left Kenya wide open to foreign corporations who believe, very deeply, that it is cheaper to offer bribes to government officials than be transparent. I am sure that if these foreign corporations wanted to be fair to all Kenyan citizens, they would put pressure on their buddies in the Kenyan government to be fair to wanainchi. *

** *In an atmosphere like this, is there anyone left in the Kenya government to protect the national wealth and infrastructure? Why on earth did Kenyabecome independent if the same people who, supposedly, handed over power are still running the show and are accountable to no one? This is sad!!!*
