Re: Leaders who return CDF money to the treasury Speaking of leaders who should not go back to parliament, I feel that any Luo MP who returned CDF money to the treasury should not go back to parliament. This should be a very simple criterion for helping us to elect development-conscious leaders. You return CDF money to the treasury, you go home. There is no logic for Bondo and Alego-Usonga constituencies to return their CDF money to the treasury when they have so many things the need the funds for. They are some of the poorest constituencies in the country. They need the CDF money for many things. Take their main towns -- Bondo and Siaya, for example. You will notice that one of the biggest problems facing the two towns is a huge water shortage. The money that was returned to the treasury could have been used in providing Siaya and Bondo towns with clean drinking water. So, there is no excuse for returning the CDF money. The MPs who returned the CDF money to the treasury should save their constituents further misery and take a vacation from parliament. If they truly have a conscience, they should sympathise with their constituents and go home. Let them give room for more development conscious leaders.
