Copy and Paste Despite Hon Nyachae giving a hate speech at what was obviuosly a launch for Party of National Unity by President Kibaki, I came to learn one thing, we lead and others follow. Kibaki's speech was a clear case of copy and paste. He started his speech by also thanking his family for having stood by him during his period as the President of Kenya. He then went on to talk about things we all know he has failed in, but things which in his mind are big successes. He talked about things like Free Primary Education, and I remember Hon Fred Gumo having been removed from the same Ministry when he realized that out of 980 scholarships that had been given, only 18 were shared amongst Kenyans. The rest went to Kibaki and his people. I also remember that FPE has made the cost of living to go up tremendously. Basic commodities that used to go for Kshs 20.00 when Kibaki took over, are now costing Kshs 100.00 plus, and then somebody boasts of FPE. I also remember that the Great Northern Corridor, is in a shambes. The President said that they have built great roads in Kenya, yet, we have no road that leads to Western Kenya. If you want to go to Kakamega either through Eldoret, or through Kisumu, there is no road. I also do remember that many Kenyans have lost their lives under the watch of the same man. Either Mungiki chops off your head, or, some tribal instigated clashes will burn your house and kill you and your family. All this while, the police are deep asleep at their stations. The President talked of building bore holes and 1000 dispensaries. Honestly, we stay here and we could have seen them. Unless we are as blind as Migosi Nyachae said. We could as well be blind, because it is people whom we voted against that have taken centre stage in this regime. The immediate reaction to HE's speeach is that if it was a classroom situation, and I was to give marks, he scored below average. He avoided eye contact with his audiance throughout his speech, and this was telling. Why was the President afraid to make eye contact with his audience if his government had scored as impressively as he was saying. I join in giving him 11%.
