VOTER CARDS BUYING Mr. Livondo is dishing out money, Ksh. 1000.00, to lure people to a meeting after which voter cards from Langata constituency is bought at Ksh. 20,000.00. Last weekend a councilor from Dagoretti Constituency was used to carry out the business in Kiboko club, Woodley. I am just wondering whether Mr. Livondo is a spent force to spoil votes or a committed person who has the interest of Kibera at heart. I tend to think the Electoral Commission of Kenya (ECK) should come up with radical changes so that as many voters as possible vote in December this year. If indeed ECK has accurate and up-to-date data the voters should be allowed to vote with only one document e.g. National Identity Card, Passport, Voter Card or a driving license. This will curb the voter cards buying from the rich class such as Mr. Livondo. Peter Hongo Kibera Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
