What are ODM's chances of galvanizing the 1.5 m votes in Western province, with both Jirongo and Kombo running for presidency? From: Silas Omenda
….erokamano.
Personally I am a mluhya and believe in a democratized system of government
and equal distribution of the national cake.
To the point in question: its not a question of Jirongo and Kombo running
for presidency, it’s politics of survival, and recognition.
–
Musikari Kombo: where did he emerge from? What are his political credentials?
The last I can remember he was the best man to the late V-P Wamalwa.
Other than that he is but just a political scavenger (referendum elections).
The point is. His likes will always emerge as long as the status quo remains,
and that is what they are fighting for.
Kombo doesn’t have an agenda for the luyia community at large and this is
evident with him being always controversial about the community’s unity,
just to prove a point, they thought Musalia Mudavadi was done after 2002
that is their problem. The man has emerged as phoenix and walked out of the
shadows of Moi and his cronies, that’s their problem.
–
Cyrus Jirongo: please spare me! A project cannot be called otherwise; a project
is a project no matter what: It pains me to see people like Jirongo standing
on a pondium agitating for luiya unity. Why give conditions if there are
no vested interests, listening to the guy speak and I fail to understand
the contents of his words, because there is nothing that will bridge the
gap between rich and poor. Correct me on this, Jirongo was used to scuttle
the opposition when Moi was in power, what a co-incidence, He meets Moi and
Viola he wants to become the president.
Fact, this two guys are one and the same, nothing good come comeout of Jirongo
and Kombo, we need serious candidacy, the likes of Agwambo, the likes of
Musalia people who are in touch with reality.
This country can’t afford more projects, truth be told, the electorate is
different thanks to Kivuitu on registering more voters. Kibaki and his MEN
has are using other tribes to fight each other at the expense of pertinent
issues. Those who are bright have seen the light (Raila, Balala Ruto Nyaga
and Musalia) only the fools are still masquerading as Kibaki Tenas, Vijana
na Kibakis and many more interest groups.
Lets embrace the spirit of national building and transparency, that’s what
will save us ,not Jirongos and Kombos.
