Re: MY TRIBE? From: fredrickmutooni Sent: Mon, 3 Sep 2007 11:11 am For some reasons that we all knows, when we came to America, we identified ourselves as Kenyans, Ugadans or something like that.We never identified ourselves as miji kendas, Bukusus, Redile or Giriamas. If you look at your immigration stamp in your passport we are identified as Blacks. Some of us who were born in kawangware , Mathare or Kibera by a single mother who had multiple patners we will never know our tribe .We are simply Kenyans and we identify ourselves with all Kenyan tribes. The last name depends on the mother tribe because many fatherless children would take their mothers father as their father too. Very unfortunate situation. To ask my tribe is like searching for a coin in Atlantic ocean. The coin is somewhere in the ocean. Being a Kenyans and supporting Raila, Kalonzo and Kibaki at the same time makes me and another one million Kenyans very unique. Iam planning a big party in mid-town NYC to celebrate the winner in December as long as the winner is a Kenyan. Please join the party.
