EXCLUSIVE: INTERVIEWS WITH MAGARA AND RUTO - NAIROBI HOSPITAL From: Gordon Teti William Ruto and Omingo Magara have told abunuwasi.com outside the Nairobi Hospital X-Ray centre that the attack on them in Kisii by alleged hired goons has just hardened their support for ODM Presidential candidate Raila Odinga. Magara says that he was sure those who had attacked them were coached and paid youths, recruited by Ford-People leader Simeon Nyachae. "We know they met at a hotel in Kisii, where they were told exactly what to do, before being paid, we have evidence and we know the attack was purely political," Magara who cracked jokes with Ruto told abunuwasi.com, minutes before checking into the x-ray room for a casual check up. Ruto who spotted a torn trouser and injuries on the knees, on his part made a passionate appeal to Roads and Public Works minister Simeon Nyachae, to cease instigating violence, "let him step down from politics an accept that time for a new generation has come and that he was better of resting." "People of his age and achievements have a choise to fight on like Diego Maradona and Mike Tyson till they become irrelevant, or be like Mandela and lead the way out of politics and preserve their names in the books of history with a clean legacy," Ruto philosophied. "I can tell you iw ill be in Western tomorrow for the campaign rally in Kakamega," said Ruto. Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
