Re: Kenya after the election!

It goes without saying that the next two months will be very challenging indeed to our beloved country.Every attention by Kenyans in particular, and the rest of the world in general, will be focused at Kenya.

So while the entire world will be planning and anticipating the X-mas and New year,Kenyans will be divided between the holiday festivities and what awaits them come January 2008.

After all the campaign,finger pointing,and spending of millions of shillings, come January 2008,Kenya will either retain the current president or usher in a new president.

Whatever happens,I would like us to remember the following.

1.We are all Kenyans and should do everything possible to treat one another as such.
2.Come January,we should join hands with whoever shall win to build a better Kenya for our children and us.The losers will do well to accept the will of the people and spend time reflecting on why they lost.
3.Remember that Kenya's progress will depend to a larger degree on the majority 35 million Kenyans and not on the 235 individuals that we shall chose as our representatives.
4.If we can,let us borrow a leaf from those countries that have succeeded or appear to have.They have known when to campaign,and when to get to work.
5.And lastly,but not least,let us fear and give glory to God as a country. History has taught us that those countries that have given God a chance,have succeeded in all ways. So, let us continue to pray that all may go well to the Country and people that we so dearly love. Shall we?
