Rarieda District

It is high time we became wise and look deep into why Rarieda or any other district as at this time of the year.

I will begin by asking the question: was there such an urgent need to create Rarieda District?

Going by the statistics of Noah Otieno, it just amazes anyone with sound mind.

I believe this creation of Rarieda District was done in bad faith! I will hint out that in the Advent of Multiparty Politics, Moi carved Kuria out of Migori District, just for political interest, so that it could look Kurias are not in any way assoiated with the Luos. He even further created Suba District to lure their votes given that the Suba descent are more closer to Bantu, but this failed too! And many other districts were also carved out!

Mzee Kibaki has also followed suit, and possibly he was advised on this by Moi, and may be by Tuju (MP Rarieda)

Remember the defeated Constitution at the referendum? It had a clause linking Presidential elections to Districts, rather than by province. I also hint that Kibaki is still hell bent on forcefully implementing the defeated Kilifi Draft Constitution should he clinch power.

The big question is: Will he succeed in dividing the people of Siaya by creating Rarieda District? Will he ever dismantle the unity of the Luos by awarding them districts?
