1. Do you believe Moi's election was democratic. If it was why were the other parties barred from participating?

I am lost at words if you called that democracy. I wish you could go back to the papers of those days and follow up the elections of those days.

2. After the coup can you justify the following

The death of Ouko, the death of Muge and other University students who were tortured to death. Can you justify the loss of homes and deaths of people during tribal clashes. What was worse than being terrorised by one of your own.

Can you justify the deaths during SABASABA. Do you remember the day Koigi's mother stripped naked at Uhuru park for the release of political prisoners. Can you justify why they were in prison?

3. Whether Raila is going to win the election is in the hands of the people. Whether he could be overthrown after he gets into power
a) Is in his hands if he is being overthrown for his misdeeds
b) In the hands of clandestines if his overthrownment is not justifiable But for reasonable Kenyans like me and you it is our responsibility to ensure existance of good governance whether one speaks the same dialect as ours or not. Kibaki was elected democratically. He has been in power for 4 plus years, he has not done anything worth a coup but he has done enough wrongs ranging from petty to very serious ones. The lie that he has only one wife, the Artur brothers, the refusal to defend the whistle blowers (Githongo), the Mbai's death, the Anglo leasing, lack of security and the lie that he would deliver constitution in 100 days just to mention afew. Yes he has improved collection of taxes and our economy has improved but he has failed to tackle corruption which is the major reason for poverty in our country. He has also ignored constitution. With all the lawyers and interlectuals in place Kenya is still being governed by achaic colonial constitution. Indeed Kibaki openly lied. Should accept a lier to be the holder of the highest office of the land? If Kibaki can lie this so amny times what else is he lieing about. Tribalism is another key problem for him.

Now while you say that let Kibaki rule for another five years, I say that Kibaki has performed to the "maximum of his ability" He has reached the peak of his performance. He cannot do any better. Lets get somebody else who has the energy to push this further up. He is not even suggesting alternative ways of doing better.He says there will be free education but do not suggest where the money will come from. Kenya cannot even make a bicycle but Kibaki is not planning to promote industries that can make us self reliant. Is this what we want?

Whether Raila will be better, I do not know. However, what I know is that we must vote the wrong person out to send a message that we do not tolerate blatant lies, corruption,tribalism, lack of leadership and patriotism. The only way is to try an alternative and if that alternative fails we try another one. In this way we show our leaders that they are our employees and if they dont perform they get fired. This is the only way we can arrive at a leader who will make Kenya catch up with the developed world. Being tribalistic will not help us in this day and age.

The coup was the beginning of initiation of disgust with wrong leadership. Now that we a democratic institute it is important we cherish it. Lets be be honest and vote the wrong choice out.
