Re: Poverty of Development ideas in PNU- Septuagenarians On 10/4/07, Benson Ngure Dear comrades, East or west home is best, even the prodigal son kunt afford to stay in the cold when his bro's and sis's we heng'ing n dinning. This is the forum where we all belong despite our affiliations social, economic, spiritual, political or even intellectual. The underlying principle is young and progressive hence YOUTH AGENDA. One fact that we must all agree on is leadership is not about events, perceptions or oration. Its about issues, its about change its about achievements must be measurable. One thing I admire Kibaki for is that I dont strain my neck to cite his able leadership both in his constituency and nationally since his youth. Kibaki, Raila and Kalonzo are not old dear freds, u can never be old when you are strong enuff to pursue your dream no wonder Kibaki says give me one more term I climax my dream and retire. Raila in his 60's tremble when young leadership is mentioned, Kalonzo hopes his age gives him an edge. These gentlemen have gone thro thick and thin to be what they are today at our age they were not propagating tribalism and hate but were conducting senior service to this nation. The best schools in Nyeri in terms of infrastructure are in Othaya, the most successful bursary scheme run by locals for over 30yrs I have seen it in Othaya. At 29yrs Kibaki et al helped write the KANU Manifesto, Did the memorandum and articles of assoc. for KCC creamaries, Ascended to be KANU's CEO at this time had a Bachelor degree in Economics, history & political science, Masters in Public finance and had lectured at Makerere unv. Have demonstrated unimaginable humility that borders cowardice eg once a V.P to Minster Finace to Minstr Health lots of humiliations and abuses followed to resignation. As a youth without much ado this boy had a big vision and we shud not be the ones to make him die with it. Jana in Nation News was shoked to see a mud walled pry shool in Kisumu where H/teacher was appealing for well wishers to assist (je ni sabotage ama huko Kibaki hatumi CDF????, Kibera have had an MP a senior politician and a Minster in several goverments. Beside jail terms, failed coups, excellent mobilisation skills (activism), refined criticism (best suits a leader of opposition) what is Railas innovative leadership/development that can talk for itself. I admit he is bn at crossroads with those goverments for reason that best suits his personal agenda. eg. how was MOU that sent chilling his relationship with Kibaki to benefit the rest of Kenyans so directly other than himself. How kud it have improved the economies of the pastrolists, tea, cofee, sugarcane, rice farmers, traders, transporters, students etc over and above present. Kibaki is a leader by actions and he doesnt force it its his inbuilt nature. Lets vote him back and after him Raila for two terms and we compare notes then. KAZI IENDELEE!!! Cllr.
