Leave Raila out of this! To John Otieno, I want to take this opportunity to respond to the above named individual on his article alleging that The Pentagon will interfere with the ODM nominations. I was at Uhuru Park during Raila’s launch for the Presidency and for the nth time he reiterated that the ODM nominations would be free and fair and as if this was not enough Musalia Mudavadi, Mr Odinga’s running mate had earlier on stated that both the outgoing MP’s and the aspiring candidates should go back to the grassroots and get the mandate from the grassroots since the nominations will be done at the grass roots level. He, Mudavadi, even went on to say that Raila would continue campaigning countrywide on his own so the outgoing MP’s should also go back to their respective constituencies to campaign for themselves. Now, with such clarity on the issue, even if an aspirant or an outgoing MP alleges that he is the Pentagon’s choice: do you begin questioning the integrity of the Pentagon or do you question the individual candidates honesty on the allegation? We know that this year’s election will be one of the most fiercely contested election of all time and with that, politicians will go ahead and say anything plus everything and especially if it favours them or potrays their opponent in a negative or weaker light. I dare challenge Mr. Otieno as to whose behalf he is speaking on when he gives a list of candidates that he is alleging as the respective constituency’s choice. The people have not yet spoken and this could just be either hearsay or his own preference thus not necessarily the people’s choice. For his information, Raila is too busy drumming up support for himself throughout the country that the little time he has remaining he uses in reflecting on “THE ORANGE SIDE OF LIFE WHICH BY THE WAY IS THE WINNING SIDE IN THIS YEARS ELECTION” and not imposing candidates on people!!!!
