LUO EMPIRE

K.O. Otieno, you seem to have gotten carried away by the prospect of your tribesman becoming Kenya's fourth president.  You're already talking of empires with Luos,  just like Jews occupying strategic positions in the US and East Africa.  Why are some of you Luos suddenly starting to think that Luos are the smartest people around in our republic?  You need to be reminded that Raila's sudden transformation into an electable person does not hinge in any way on his supposedly Luo superiority.  It actually owes much to a tribalised Kenya where several ethnic groups with an axe to grind with another ethnic group which has hitherto been perceived to have an overbearing attitude towards the former gang up against it in order to put to halt to what is considered to be ethnic hegemony.
 
Otieno, what would  Raila's current standing be in these elections had Musalia not galvinized his Maragoli tribes men to rally behind your man?  Equally are you sure that the 'empire' could come into being if Ruto, Kosgeys and Ntimama had not jumped onto the ODM bandwagon?
 
Otieno this country has been brutalized for so long by your kind of thinking and it's high time you descended back to earth and quit this madness you're trying to peddle around.  Kenyans are a sad lot at the moment because whenever someone emerges from a community to become the country's leader, his community begins to regard themselves as an empire or a kingdom of some sorts.  This cannot be allowed to continue this time around and if you're dreaming of a Luo empire then let me assure you that Raila won't be getting my vote come December 2007.  I'll make sure your dream is still born by not casting my vote for Raila.  Remember that every vote counts.
 
I thought this year's polls are about breaking down the barriers that have stood in the way of Kenya becoming a prosperous nation.
Do not be hoodwinked into thinking that the same wrath that is about to be visited on the Mount Kenya community will not be felt by Luos come 2012 should your  hallucintations translate into ODM's official government policies in the event of Raila emerging victorious in December 2007.
