THE AGONY OF A KENYAN FAMILY OVER SON’S MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE. BY: JEPH O. AGUKONot even well paid news advertisements, cash award offers and sustained prayers from various inter-denominations from world renown evangelists can salvage a Kenyan family over the mysterious disappearance of their beloved son Daniel Ochieng Mboya since the year 2001. The family which hails from Asembo in Bondo District but later settled in Ndiru Hills in Kendu-Bay Rachuonyo District Nyanza province has undergone enormous tribulations courtesy of the incident which has caught even the establishment tungue-tied
Pictured is Daniel Ochieng Mboya(Keni) The evangelist whose disappearance 6 years ago still remains a mystery According to a brother Andrew Mboya who talked to this journalist on telephone from New York, Ken was born in October 1970 and attended both his primary and Secondary Studies in Nairobi before he moved to U.S.A for further studies. "After the expiry of his Visa and being a strong Christian adherent he decided not to perpetuate his stay and came back to Kenya to stay with his Aunt in Mathare Slums in Nairobi", Andrew said. The brother who is an educationist in New York narrated how it hasn’t been easy to cope with the disappearance and gloated how each time he sojourns in Kenya he glimpses at everybody who resembles his brother Keni who was unmarried at the time of his disappearance. "No day passes without Keni being in our thoughts and prayers, but we are optimistic that the Almighty God has kept him safe and will one day avail him to us" Andrew quipped. A hint of his where abouts emerged early this year to the effect that Keni could have gone to either Kenyan Coastal town of Mombasa or South Africa for an evangelical mission being an upcoming evangelist who used to entertain his flocks in open air sites. But the South African idea seems to be like a piped dream due to the fact that he had left his passport behind. Last November while in Kenya, Andrew narrated how the family almost sighed with relief when a local channel ran a documentary programme of patients who had not been claimed by their families but to no avail. The family is therefore requesting for prayers during the trying period and for any clue of Kennis where abouts contact his hapless mother on 0710 840 846 or his brother 0724 788 797 A website has equally been established by the family for him www.findkeni.com END JEPH O.
