Hypocrisy of the ODM Presidential Candidate, the Pentagon and the ODM Electoral Board on the issue of free and fair nomination of candidates

There is a lot of dishonesty among ODM Pentagon members on the issue of free and fair nomination of civic and parliamentary candidates. A number of strong candidates in Nyanza province are already being coerced to abandon their parliamentary ambitions in favor of unpopular sitting members of parliament and candidates.  Constituencies affected by this problem include Gem, Alego Usonga, Mbita, Bondo  and Rarieda.
 
The unfortunate thing is that the moves are instigated by the members of the Pentagon including Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, the ODM Presidential candidate, at the behest of weaker but their preferred candidates.  This is in sharp contrast to public pronouncement of the ODM leadership of a free and fair nomination process.  Hon. Raila must understand disenfranchising voters is the surest way for him to lose the presidency.  About 50% of voters in the affected constituencies may not participate in the presidential elections if popular candidates are coerced into rigging themselves out of the ODM nominations.
 
As members of the affected constituencies we would like to appeal to Hon Raila and members of the Pentagon to let the people decide.  Please leave as alone to elect our leaders and we will never go wrong.
