Why Kibaki? Lucy Kimani wrote: My friend Susan said it best when comparing the two visionariess: "A Chinese proverb contrasts shortsightedness with visionary thinking very well. "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day" - Raila's approach. "Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime" -Kibaki's approach Kibaki's plans are high-level and their immediate benefit may not be obvious to some Kenyans even though many Kenyans are already enjoying the fruits of his policies based on my recent visit, free education, reviving of key factories, KCC, ADC , KMC, Rivertex etc. CDF results where properly implemented already yielding results such as access to electricity, clean water, etc On track to meet the Millennium Development Goals, Nairobi can now proudly answer to "City under the Sun." after it was restored to its former glory! Under Kibaki's government, we can expect: 1) A Vibrant and Strong Economic Growth with a Gross Domestic Product ( GDP ) of 10% per annum over the next 25 years 2) Political system that favors opportunity creation and economic growth 3) Hardworking Kenyan will be much more empowered to pull him or herself out of poverty 4) Global relevance 5) Strategic, informed, goal-oriented planning 6) Continuity on policies, projects and services eg Undersea Cable; Digital Villages and turning Kenya into the next BPO/Call Center outsourcing destination 7) Proven track record vs untested leadership 8) Free Primary and Secondary Education 9) Lead the fight against HIV/AIDS 10)Vision 2030 Kibaki tena for continuity of all the above and more!!!!!!!
