Though Labour minister Newton Kulundu is entitled to his own views, the choice of a public function attended by the American ambassador to denounce alleged human rights abuses by the US and Britain was irresponsible of a Cabinet minister, says Moses Ogollah Malalah. “Kulundu should differentiate between personal views and official policy when dealing with other countries. Democracy and diplomacy emphasise restraint and responsibility. His outburst won’t benefit Kenya and his Lurambi constituents.’’
