Politics of defections; what do they believe in? In the recent past, Kenyans have witnessed mass defections from one party to another. President Kibaki has defected from Narc to something called PNU. Hon Kalonzo Musyoka has defected to ODM-K. Hon Raila Odinga has remained firm in the course of the struggle and maintained the peoples' hopes with ODM. Now, every Tom, Dick and Harry are hurrying to ODM, so that they can maintain and retain their seats. And I am now asking; what do these people believe in? Do they believe in what we have believed in all along? And where have they been all along as we struggled to build the party? I am tempted to say that if we give these defectors a chance, we will miss the boat once more. Kenyans must look keenly at all the candidates, assess what rolls they have played in the liberation struggles, and then vote wisely. We must not vote for the man with lots of money. We must not vote for the man with the biggest tummy. We must not vote for these people who brag that they know The Pentagon on first name basis. We must vote for that person who believes in change. We must vote for the person who has been with us on the ground as we have been struggling. The person must have struggled with the party in the course of time. He must have impeccable track records in the history of the liberation struggle. His agenda for change must be resolute. But people who have been part of the problem must be voted out as we vote Kibaki and all his team out. If someone was sitting pretty with Kibaki as he plundered our resources, as they planned Anglo Leasing and all the related scandals, that person must now not pretend that he is following the will of his people to the most popular party. Am raising this because in Embakasi, ODM has been infiltrated by known PNU agents. They have gone to Orange House and bought their nomination papers for both parliamentary and civic seats, and at night, they attend PNU meetings and at day time, they are with ODM leaders. They have the capacity to organise long convoys of vehicles, and they can rent the largest crowds. We must reject them and refuse to nominate them. They have failed even to realize that ODM has a structure in place in Embakasi. They are operating with known agents who have always made sure that we loose in Embakasi. This time around, I will make sure that we win big for ODM in Embakasi at parliamentary level and in most of the 17 civic seats. I have the backing of the people and this is our resolve. We are going to send PNU packing in Embakasi, and come January, Embakasi seat will surely be in the bag for ODM. This will shock some pretenders. It is time Kenyans solved and fixed the Kenyan problem once and for all. Lets vote in people of proven resolve as change agents. Not products of status quo politics.
