RE: POLITICAL FUNDRAISING FOR MR. ODHIAMBO TOBIAS OKETCH

On behalf of the Mobilization Committee, may I kindly invite you to a political fundraising on 30th October 2007 as from 5pm at the Antonio's Restaurant, opposite Holy Family Basilica, in aid of the political bid of Mr. Odhiambo Tobias Oketch who is contesting for the Komarock civic seat in Embakasi Constituency.

Mr. Odhiambo has been instrumental in revamping democratic ideals in not only the civic ward, but also within the constituency, the country as a whole, as well as in the Diaspora. He is currently the chairman of ODM in Komarock Ward, Secretary of ODM in Embakasi Constituency, and was the Team Leader in Komarock for the Orange Side during the 2005 constitutional referendum, which we handsomely won under his command. Prior to these, he had been overwhelmingly elected the chairman of LDP in Komarock Ward, and thereafter again elected Secretary General of LDP in Embakasi Constituency. The gist of this is that he has been at the forefront of the clamour for change, and is currently the strongest candidate to win the Komarock civic seat.

Mr. Odhiambo has been on the struggle for change for a long time. It is now the home stretch, with nomination papers returned to Orange House, and now the focus is on covering ground in the run-up to the actual nomination as well as during the official campaign period. This requires reasonable financial muscle to meet the budget.

It is for this reason that we approach you, as one of the believers in change, to request your kind financial support. We note that this is a challenge to all political aspirants, and even the major presidential candidates have recently pitched ads seeking the same. Your voluntary participation will therefore be highly appreciated.
