Raila & his MOU's - Bwana Nyabuto I will first of go off the road in answering you. We elect leaders to represent us 'somewhere'. I will refer to this 'somewhere' in line with your post as in the negotiation of sharing of the National Resources. In order that we get the right distribution or share of the resources, there must be some binding covenant between a representative/representatives of both or all concerned parties. Straight to the point: The LDP wing of NARC mandated Raila to negotiate and see that the agreement was made in good faith. Here, Raila was representing all Kenyans who were ascribing to LDP Party on one hand and Kibaki was representing a 'future' president then. Biblically a Covenant is an agreement between two or more parties that MUST not be broken. In a similar manner, the NARC MOU was a political agreement binding two or more parties representing the people of Kenya, which WAS NOT TO BROKEN Kibaki having failed to honor the same, simply refused to recorconize other Kenyans as a people. Kibaki took the oath of office to serve all Kenyans equally, and no need to say, he failed this too. Raila is not dragging anyone by force to help him in fighting about the MOU not honored, but it is the people who have mandated him to do so! However, I agree with you on spearheading election of leaders by Merit! Arreddo Nyang You call me Arreddo Nyang, I'll respond Joluo.com Akelo nyar Kager, jaluo@jaluo.com |
