The ODM campaign!

Dear brothers and sisters.

Am a kenyan who is also involved in the same war that you are fighting. I,ve just read a kenyan newspaper edition showing that the GAP between Raila and Kibaki has dropped to about 4 points only. This is an indication that the public has reacted to the rumours on majimbo issue which the enemies of Devolution have termed as tribalism in order to frighten voters. We in ODM have our part of the blame too.

-First of all; The benefits of Devolution have NOT been well elaborated so the people find it easier to believe in the maliscious claims by the PNU die hards and hence giving Kibaki a mommentum.  I for example expected the Pentagon members to spend more time explaining the benefits of majimbo like ;
   (1) Forming of both Federal and state Universities for every state there-by enabling more students to join the varsities and increase the number of graduates in the country.
    (2) That big firms would be mobilised inland there-by ensuring that the infrastructure is improved country wide.
    (3) Rural electrification
    (4) Improvement in the agricultural sector , kenya being agriculturalist country and also where so many people still suffer from food shortage
    (5) Trainee oportunities in the companies for the varsity students in their final years.
    (6) Re-organization of the pension scheme
    (7) Improvements in the export sector in order to enable the country to achieve its first Superavit in History and create more jobs.
 
-Besides they are supposed to explain to the public that Devolution will be of Resources and NOT the People.

-They should also realise that the time is ripe to exploit the past occurrences in the Kibaki regime to reduce the PNU, for example,
(A) the use of the tax-paye´rs´money to hire the Armenian thugs to terrorise kenyans and the press while many people were lacking food.
(B) the attack by the lady Lucy Kibaki on the Press
(C) the Anglo-Leasing Scandal and the ministers
(D)  the increased violence
 
-They should stress these points strongly to the public and even mention to them the importance of rejecting the Kibaki´s goodies which only come during the election era and disappear soon after the elections.

 - Brothers and sisters, so far, you,ve done alot and I congratulate you all but much more still need to be done. PLease take my words seriously and do not relent until we gain the victory and pass my message over if possible as a whole to the Pentagon members.As the saying goes, !Two heads are better than one" so my head and yours´  together will forever endevour.
