Lucy Kimani wrote: RAILA THE FLIP FLOPPER SQUANDERS HIS POLLS LEAD. sywathobio wrote: The euphoria dust has settled and the reality has started to sink. The opinion polls are telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth.Railas popularity is first waning that his supporters are left bewildered to an extent some are contemplating to jump ship. It is puzzling how someone can squander 17 percentage lead to Zero in less that a month.Could it be, What goes up must come down?,Easy come, easy go? or as usual Raila got drunk by the lead, got careless and there he is.The latter is the most probable. I pity ODM supporters as their candidate has given them nothing to work on.The only offer they have is 'CRITICIZE WITH NO SOLUTIONS'.Railas hollow chatter due to his ardent desire to clinch power has been counter productive as he underrated Kenyans intelligence. He is a habitual critic and sees no good Kibakis government has done. His supporters are as if in a market place shouting 'BUY FROM ME'! yet they have empty baskets.Or could it be as sailors shouting for help from an imminent sinking ship?.Blame them not, what else can they do?,them too are not sure what their candidate stands for.He is a master FLIP FLOPPER,he has no stand on anything including his name.He is also not sure whether he is running for a Prime minister or a President of Kenya. Did he sign a MOU with a section of Muslims or not?.Is he for Majimbo or not?.Is CDF good or not?.Is Nairobi stock market run by drug money or not?.Is he going to sack all senior civil servants to accommodate his battalion of nomination losers or not?.Is his government going to have a president, a prime minister, two deputy presidents, two deputy prime ministers, seven jimbo governors plus a cabinet or not?etc.Who out there has an idea?! While Kibaki is not perfect,Railas leadership abilities are questionable, he is a good politician but a very bad leader. What Kenya now needs is a leader to continue with the development projects that have been initiated by the current administration. Though our friends see no good that the current administration has done, I hope they would not deny that, The economy has pulled from a recession that it was some 4 years ago. That the universal free primary education has benefited many of our children. That there has been a remarkable increase in investor confidence and profitability in NSE.(no wonder Raila has soo many foreign friends wanting to invest in Kenya)His disgusting explanation to this impressive performance is that drug money and money laundering are the reason why. That farmers are getting higher and prompt payments to their yields. That lower interests rates have made loans accessible to ordinary citizens more that ever before. That more rural areas are connected to electricity and clean water. That there is more affordable health care. That we have unchained ourselves from the vicious circle of donor fund since we can meet our budgetary obligations with little or no budgetary support. The abundance and recurrence of corruption cases has diminished. That the communications infrastructures has considerably improved. If one does a simple poll projection, with Railas loss of two points per two weeks,he will be at 37% during election time if lucky. As pollsters have indicated we will win! and Railas will head to the high court to dispute the polls.
